Awareness Rally on World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse was conducted by KARUNALAYA, INDIA on 19th November 2009 at Marina Beach from Kannagi Statute to Gandhi Statue. More than 600 participants mostly women groups members participated in the Rally. The Programme was inaugurated by Mr. A.G. MOURYA, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mylapore Police District and Mr. S.V. SHEKAR, MLA, Mylapore Assembly Constituency. Presided By Mr. S. JOHN BOSCO, President of Karunalaya. Lead by Dr. N. PAUL SUNDER SINGH, Director of Karunalaya. Arranged by Staff Team of KARUNALAYA including the Coordinators, Mr. John Milton, Senior Coordinator, Mr. L. Gnanasekhar, Coordinator, Street Children programme, Ms. A. Sagaya Selvi, Coordinator, HIV/AIDS programme, Mr. Vasanth Kumar, Shelter Home Coordinator, Mr. Govindaraj, Senior Field Organiser and other staff.
