Manoj 6 years old boy was found crying at Thiruvottriyur bus stand, North Chennai. He was taken to H8 Thiruvottriyur police station by the public. Since they were not able to get details about him and his family the police brought him to Karunalaya on 21.06.11 around 9.30pm. We gave basic care and tried to find his parents. As Manoj seems to be mentally retarded we couldn’t get information about his background. On 23.05.11 night he suffered from epilepsy and was taken to hospital for treatment. Considering his welfare he was taken to (CWC) Child Welfare Committee, seeking appropriate place for care and support, where he was referred to Balavihar a home for mentally retarded at Kilpauk garden. We still hope to find his parents and reunite him with his family.
